Who are we? Our church community is made up of a wide range of different people, from all ages, backgrounds and cultures. Whoever you are, you can be assured a very warm welcome at Ebenezer Baptist Church. When to Arrive? If you have never been to Ebenezer before, it would be best to turn up around 10:15am. You'll be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who will be happy to give you information about our church and our events. Ebenezer has nursery facilities for new borns and plenty of free parking. Need directions? See our find us page. What to Wear? The simplest answer is to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We have people who wear jeans and others that wear a suit and tie. Most dress casual. Whatever you wear, we accept people as they are. We hope that everyone will come to church dressed respectfully and comfortably. What to Expect? For some people the thought of going to church is challenging. To help you relax here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Ebenezer. You will find that we are friendly and probably very much like a lot of people you already know. We start our service at 10:30 a.m. The singing in our service is blended with both traditional hymns as well as modern praise songs. Our church is blessed with many talented musicians who lead our times of music and singing. From time to time, some of our children get involved in different parts of the service. As part of our junior leaders program, they gain experience and training in the areas that interest them. We also believe that learning from the Bible is central to our Christian worship. So, after a prayer of blessing the children leave the service to go to learn about a Bible lesson while our Pastor gives a message from the Bible. We do take an offering during each service which goes to the work of the various ministries of our church. If you are a visitor please pass the offering plate along when it comes to you. Our service closes with a prayer of blessing as we go out into the world to be a blessing to the world through our words and deeds. What We Believe? To find out what we believe, click on the above menu labelled Who We Are. Then follow the headings and links under Our Beliefs. There is enough information there to provide you with a better understanding of the Christian faith. For those with disabilities... We aim to be an all-inclusive church. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities and we have a washroom designed for wheelchair access. There is also an elevator to our lower floors where we often enjoy church lunches and other events together. We also have an infra-red hearing assistance system for those that are hearing impaired. |
